First Visit

When you were 13 weeks old, you went to Disney World for the first time. We would have taken you sooner, but we wanted to wait until after you had received your first dose of vaccines. You actually did pretty well with the trip...much better than I thought you would do!

I think spending so much time in the carseat was your least favorite part. We left before dawn on a Friday morning. Your daideo drove over, and Auntie Amanda was in town visiting, so we had a full car! We stopped several times, so you could eat, so we could eat, so we could pee, so you could have your diaper changed. Somehow, we still made it to your Auntie Ellen and Uncle Dennis' house around 2:00, and we got to the Magic Kingdom around 4:00. Everyone was so excited to meet you! Your Auntie Michelle joined us, along with your cousin Keira. Auntie Amanda got you an autograph book, although we didn't get to use it because we didn't really see any characters this trip. But she also got you a "1st Visit" button, which you wore with pride the whole weekend!

It was a beautiful day at the Magic Kingdom, but it was the hottest weather you've seen yet and you weren't too psyched about that.

We met up with some old friends, including Daddy's friend Mr. Dan...

...and Daddy's "friend" Casey.

Your first ride was the Tomorrowland Transit Authority, otherwise known as the Peoplemover. You loved it, and Mommy taught you all about your Uncle Mark while we were on the ride.

Cinderella's castle was under construction, which made Auntie Michelle sad.

Next, you went on It's a Small World, but you were pretty overstimulated at that point. It's NOT a small world when you're only three months old; it's a big scary world with lots of lights and sounds and smells! Finally, you just fell asleep.

The next morning, we all hung out at Auntie Ellen's house. You got to meet your Auntie Jen, and Mimi came to visit!

We also watched a lot of March Madness.

The next day, we went to the Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot.

We "disneybounded" as Frozen.

You're not really into sunglasses yet.

You were in a much better mood after a lazy morning out of your carseat!

You loved getting lots of attention from your family.

You took your first goofy cousins photo, although it wasn't a very good one.

Dan and Renee met up with us again!

And you and Daddy did some Lion Kinging with some of the topiaries.

You weren't very amused.

I'm glad you had fun, and can't wait to take you back when you're older! It'll be so fun to see it through your eyes.
